How to Access YouTube in the Classroom—Even if It's Blocked
YouTube can really come in handy in the classroom, so it’s unfortunate that access to the site has been restricted by many schools.
While we’re certainly fans of video sharing sites like Teacher Tube and School Tube, they don’t always have the content we’re looking for.
There are several workarounds that will give you access to YouTube content on your school computer, but the simplest one we’ve found so far is a filter bypass site called Aunblock. Aunblock doesn’t require you to create a user account or download anything. All you have to do is head to the site and type in the URL of the site you want to access inside the black box at the bottom of the screen.
After hitting “Go,” you’ll be able to bypass search filters and browse YouTube on a private server!
If you don’t feel comfortable using Aunblock, you can also use KEEPVID to download the video, save it to a flash drive, or upload it to your own personal blog.
